I need to wrap up this blog for the time being....Yes, you heard me right....There could be round 4? Or 5? hahahaha!
So, yes...Almost three months later, I am happy to announce we had a baby BOY on May 30, 2012. We named him Fletcher (my maiden name) Riley (Kory picked that one)
Even though I was overdue, I still managed to deliver without a c section....Something all of us were very worried about. Although, after what I went through with this recovery...I would GLADLY take a c section the next delivery!
Kory was able to come home for Afghanistan for two weeks so he could be here for the birth of our baby boy. Although I was ready to POP, we all enjoyed spending time with Kory before the baby arrived. However, I started to panic when Kory was due back to Afghanistan in four days. I have a history of complicated deliveries and it would have been difficult having him leave soon after the baby was born.
Thankfully, three days before he was scheduled to leave, I went into labor. May 29, 2012 to be exact. I was hoping to have a "drug free" delivery to prevent any complications. After laboring all night, we arrived at the hospital at 7am. Our delivery room was BEAUTIFUL! But it was hard to appreciate being in so much pain.
The doctor checked me and I was a 7. SOO CLOSE! But it was soon to be the longest three hours of my life. I quickly progressed to 9 1/2 cm, but I was really stuck. Our baby boy was sunny side up. Hence why I was in soo much pain. Doctors and nurses had to get me in all different positions to finally get the baby out. Thankfully, he came out and FLETCHER made his first debut! We are so blessed!
